Direct answer
Use original PMP-style questions to improve decision quality, diagnose misconceptions, and review reasoning without claiming access to real PMI exam items.
What to know
- A practice question is useful when its explanation teaches why alternatives are weaker.
- Scenario questions often ask for the first, next, or best action; these words change the decision.
- Review correct guesses as well as incorrect answers.
- Separate content gaps from misreading and judgment errors.
How to apply it
Answer without notes, state why your option is best, then compare your reasoning with the explanation. Add only the transferable lesson to your error log.
Worked example
If you selected an escalation option before assessing impact, record the principle: investigate and facilitate within authority before escalating, unless immediate safety, ethics, or governance requires otherwise.
Common mistakes
- Memorizing an answer letter.
- Assuming generated questions are genuine PMI questions.
- Reviewing only the final score.
Exam and practice connection
